BALLSMANIA CUP
Nottingham Greyhound Stadium has proudly teamed up with Ballsmania to offer sporting clubs in Nottinghamshire the chance to raise some much needed money for their club with The Ballsmania Cup.
The Ballsmania Cup heats will take place at Nottingham Greyhound Stadium on the evenings of:
- Friday 17th September
- Friday 24th September
- Friday 1st October
- Friday 8th October
- Friday 15th October
- Friday 22nd October
Six clubs will be required for each night thus a total of thirty six clubs can compete for the honour of being crowned the Ballsmania Cup Champion.
How will it work? Nottingham Greyhound Stadium will supply each club with 100 tickets (for admission to the Stadium and a race card) free of charge for the relevant Ballsmania Cup heats night – clubs can then sell these tickets for up to the normal price of £6 per person (over 18’s only) to their club members, families and friends with all the proceeds being retained by the club. If a club sells all of its allocated tickets that's up to £600 for club funds!
What happens on the night? Each club will be allocated a trap number [1 – 6] and the club will be represented by this trap number for each of the six Ballsmania Cup races – the position the dog finishes in each Ballsmania race scores points on a league table basis (7 points for 1st place, 5 points for 2nd place and so on down to 1 point for 6th place). The clubs with the highest points total on the six evenings will be invited back on Friday 19th November to compete in The Final of The Ballsmania Cup. The overall winner will be crowned The Ballsmania Cup Champion and will receive a trophy along with a prize for the club (subject to agreed club attendance numbers on the night of the Final).
Fund raising for many clubs to date has been very successful with several raising in excess of £500 as well as enjoying a fantastic night out!
